Calisthenics Coach

Sarah Taylor

Founder and owner, Sarah is a competitive calisthenics athlete, circus performer and coach, specialising is calisthenics, mobility and handstand training at Sequoia Movement.

  • Competed in ITV, Ninja Warrior, 2022.
  • Performed Aerial Lyra with the Circus Big Top Glastonbury.
  • Kalos-Stenos reps and sets – competitor 2022

Sarahs coaching is dedicated to supporting people of all fitness levels and needs ​Sarah is able to have her clients see beyond aesthetics and into a world of skill development and athletic achievement. Seeking to help create performance based goals centred around physical success, skill acquisition and rediscovering movement, Sarah uses a wide range of training methods, workouts  and techniques to keep her clients motivated and continually progressing.

Sarah is driven and passionate about the fitness industry, training clients from top Olympic athletes, Crossfitters, OCR competitors, Calisthenics athletes and Circus performers as well as everyday men and women looking to get fit and create a sustainable, enjoyable fitness lifestyle.

Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Adam Gawley

Fully qualified personal trainer and Crossfit Level 2 trainer with over ten years experience in the fitness industry. Adam has trained some of the worlds top athletes in a wide range of sports such as Boxing and MMA, Motocross, Rugby League, CrossFit, Powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, Ice hockey and Kayak Polo.

His coaching has helped produce multiple national podiums, CrossFit regionals athletes, World championship competitors and countless personal bests.

Born in Australia he grew up competing in every sport possible from Australian Rules Football and basketball to Obstacle Course Races and Strongman.

The former owner of a successful CrossFit gym, he brings a unique and very broad skill set to Sequoia. Having trained Everest summiteers, won state titles in log lifting and bouldered with Chris Sharma in Barcelona his wealth of knowledge is sure to be able to help you on your journey of physical improvement.

Aerial Circus Coach

Lisa Truscott

Award winning aerialist, hula hooper and roller skater, Lisa has been in the world of circus since 2000.  She regularly performs as a soloist, with her company The 2 Lisa’s,  Bella Kinetica, or as part of large-scale shows all over the world.

Lisa has performed on national television and has also performed alongside such stars as One Direction and The Saturdays.  She has worked on cruise ships, holiday & ski resorts and festivals.  She is equally at home in theatre, cabaret and the circus, while her corporate clients include Nokia, Dyson, Ford, and Le Tour de France. International performances include Kuwait, Turkey, France, Germany, Italy, Egypt and USA.

She discovered circus at the age of 18 while working as a coach and performer with Circus of the Kids in the USA. She continued to work there for seven years, with Assistant Director and Head Rigger among her roles.  Whilst she loves performing, she also finds a huge amount of joy in teaching and it is important to her that the next generation of circus performers are taught correct and safe methods and techniques, as well as the joy that comes from learning new tricks and the thrill of achieving difficult skills.  She likes to make classes fun, whilst also pushing her students to work as hard as they can and have a ‘yes’ moment in every class.

Strength and Conditioning Coach & Massage Therapist

Jodie Morris

Jodie brings a passion for open water swimming, long distance running and strength training. She has taken part in half marathons, triathlons, long distance swim events and regularly takes part in CrossFit box competitions. Amongst her numerous coaching qualifications she is also a qualified sports massage therapist.

Jodie brings an attitude towards fitness that is all about making it sustainable, consistent and enjoyable. Outside of training and working, you’ll find Jodie dipping in the sea, or suiting up for a longer sea swim, and spending all of her other free time with her rescue dogs!

Movement Acro Coach

Charlotte Luke

Charlotte grew up training at Stagecoach stage school from 8 – 16.

She went on to achieve a first class Ba(hons) degree in Dance at Falmouth University, graduating 2015. Since then she has worked with and taught for a number of dance companies including Freefall Dance.

In 2018 she was awarded a grant by Arts Council England which saw her train in New York (Mark Morris Dance Centre) and Portugal as well as developing choreographic work.

Charlotte found a love for developing her dance work through aerial dance and harness techniques, she has performed at Glastonbury, Boomtown Festival, Give Festival, as a Puppeteer with The Man Engine and most recently at the opening ceremony of the new Battersea Power Station in London. She is Co-director of Off The Wall Aerial Dance Company as well as a qualified Pilates instructor..

Specialising in contemporary and acro movement, lyrical styles, vertical dance and harness techniques and body conditioning class.

She has a love for all things movement and is a passionate and caring practitioner.

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Jack Buffery

Having coached people from all walks of life for over 10 years, Jacks main passion is helping people break though mental and physical barriers.

Working with the belief that a base level of strength in movement is the foundation of confidence, health and a better quality of life, Jack has coached hundreds of people to a point where they can expect great things from their bodies again.

Jack also believes that a strong sense of community around health and fitness can help people understand the bigger picture of leading an active lifestyle, and that it is an opportunity that should be open to everyone no matter where they are starting from.

Although he is now firmly embedded in the corporate wellness space where he does public speaking events, team building and challenges, all with a focus on resistance training, he will always remain a 1-1 coach at heart as that is where the passion comes from.
